ALL OUR SHEDS AND SUMMER HOUSES COME STANDARD WITH A 19mm TONGUE & GROVE FLOOR AS OPPOSED TO THE MAJORITY OF OUR COMPETITIORS USING THE SAWN BOARD OPTION.
Sawn floor boards from the UK are generally damp and so over time as they dry out they will most definitely leave gaps in the floor. The T&G floor will maintain its shape throughout and is the perfect solution to not getting the floor gaps.
All of our sheds and summerhouses are manufactured using a slow grown Swedish redwood tongue and groove as oppose to most our online competitors who use a white wood. Redwood grows slower than white wood this means it is denser and better for joinery purposes. Redwood and whitewood season well, but white wood is more likely to distort.

Why Is It Important to Buy a Tanalised Wood Summerhouse?
It’s fine to cheapen out on a simple garden shed that only costs a couple hundred pounds, but if you want safe and secure indoor living space away from the main house, you need to be assured that you’re buying a quality structure.
It should be built well enough to withstand the summer or winter elements, but to also last a lifetime. For this reason, we recommend that you buy a 16 x 10 summerhouse that is made with tanalised wood.
What Is Tanalised Wood?
Tanalised wood or timber is an important part of summerhouse manufacturing.
When you shop for timber from a local building store you generally have two options: untreated timber, or tanalised timber. This is the same for when you purchase a finished shed, garden building, or a 16×10 shed for sale. Untreated timber is prone to decomposition from the outdoor elements of rain, snow, sleet, and the wind.
The treated wood will be protected from fungus, insects, mould, and rot and decomposition.
Untreated wood may be fine for a cheap shed you’re using to store your tools, but when you spend a few thousands pounds on a 16 x 10 summerhouse you want it to last a lifetime. Tanalised timber has been pressure treated with a variety chemicals. This helps to protect it from inclement weather.
During this process, every square inch of that wood is treated. Your 16 x 10 summerhouse will now be able to withstand the elements and insects too. While you’ll still need to do some yearly maintenance on your summerhouse, with care it can last up to thirty years.
What Kinds of Features Can I Get in a 16×10 Shed for Sale?
You can get a summer house or large garden shed for sale that looks more like a tiny house.
These small buildings have plenty of room to stand up and walk around in, and lots of room for furniture. If you want it as an office, you can place a desk, chairs, and shelves in there.
If you wish to use it as an outdoor bar or teahouse, there is plenty of space to add a table and chairs, and a comfortable couch, small mini fridge, and to hang pictures on the walls. And that’s another reason why you want tanalised wood. You don’t want your valuable possessions to be ruined by rain or moisture.
